  1. Learn chord shapes well enough to articulate each string
  2. Learn to switch between those chords fast enough to keep up with the changes in the song
  3. Strum out of time, hitting the chords in order
  4. Strum in time, at the appropriate time

  • What do you know? Can play a few basic chords.
